Another birthday girl, Meredith turns 4!

She has been waiting for years to turn four so that she could start taking piano lessons! It was fun to give her some of her very own special piano books.
Meema was here for Meredith's birthday and here's a picture of the girls in the kitchen making Meredith's birthday cupcakes.
For months, Meredith has been telling people that she was getting a new baby "at her birthday time".
Got to blow out candles again (had a huge cake and candles at her party back in March). I'll try to post some pics of her two big gifts: a baseball glove and tee ball set from her Daddy and her room being redecorated by Meema & Papa.

More of our new baby...

Micah is sleeping decently and is growing well! Read my captions below...
Micah was baptized!!! by our friend, Pastor Guy, in the hospital on Monday, April 23rd.
Here's our family picture after his baptism.
I think he's kinda cute. :)
Meredith is VERY helpful and loves to hold him.
Micah eats and sleeps (and poops).

Meet our boy: Micah Alexander!!!!

So not too long after the last post, Kelli had me get the clock and start timing. We went to the hospital a 1:15 this morning and by 6:17am we had our "little" boy! Weighing in at 9 lbs 0 oz., and a lanky 23 inches long, here is Micah Alexander Staub:

Two more bellies?

So it is D-Day +1 and we are not +1 if you know what I mean. The girls took the opportunity to "feel mommy's pain" a little bit. I came downstairs that the girls are giggling saying, "I have a big belly like mommy!" I couldn't help but laugh... I think that means we are all ready for baby Staub to arrive.

Well...

Gabrielle managed to break her leg yesterday while playing with a bouncy ball on the basement carpet. She has a spiral fracture on her right tibia (shin bone). She is shown here in her first cast-splint thing. She'll get another one after more xrays next Friday and then probably a third. Poor thing will be unable to walk or crawl for about six weeks. What a terrible time to be immobile---we have to carry her from room to room, etc. Please pray that this time will go fast! She is currently sitting next to me eating cheerios and talking up a storm... the nurses yesterday told us that she'll adapt fast. She already was able to still go potty and poopy on her training toilet yesterday. Otherwise, because Gabby is talking, she is pretty good at saying, "Help me!" and communicating what she needs/wants.

Big Mamma

Twelve days remaining until due date. Induction date is Monday, April 30th (begged the doctor to let me go as late as possible in hopes the baby will come on it's own---hated the induction of Gabby a couple of years ago). And actually, April 26th was the only induction option I thought I had, until I realized that was Meredith's birthdate!

Little Momma.

Birthday party!

The annual double birthday party for our girls was last Saturday! (next year will be a triple?) Princesses and costumes were themes this year. Ended up having 30+ friends and neighbors come and help us celebrate. Meredith and Gabrielle seemed to have lots of fun, but were totally exhausted afterward. And since that day, of course, we've had to pretend that the party is ongoing... we sing "Happy Birthday" several times a day, Meredith to herself and Gabby thinks it's Mommy and Daddy's birthday.

Yellow cake with white buttercream frosting. Mmmmmmm. Mommy selfishly picked out the cake she was hungry for, and managed to eat a good 1/3 of it herself.
"Pin the crown on the princess" game.
We had the kids make crowns with posterboard and stickers. Aaron is dressed up as Flynn Rider from Tangled.
