Faces of Gabrielle...

Summertime fun!

Meredith loves to "mow" with daddy, eat popsicles outside, play and play on the swing. Both girls love the stroller rides to the "dinosaur park".

Sisters

They are already dressing alike and doing the same things together...

Gabrielle's Baptism

Gabrielle was baptized at our church on April 25th. Those in attendance included Meema & Papa; Jill, Scott & Gracie; Great-Grandpa Wilbur; Kadyn; Grandma and Grandma Staub; Michael & Clare.
Pastor Roberts with our family.
Scott, Jill, Clare & Michael are Gabby's godparents. As you can see, Aunt Jill is VERY pregnant.
Mom, Gabrielle and I. Every girl in our family wears the same baptism dress--a dress that my mom's grandparents gave her for her baptism back in 1960.
Identical to the same picture of Meredith two years ago.
Eighty-six years old and still hoppin! Papa Wilbur traveled the 500+ mile trip to attend the baptism.

Meredith turns 2!

We celebrated Meredith's birthday the same weekend that Gabrielle was baptized. We had a pool party at the hotel everyone was staying at. One of her favorite things to do is to watch "Dora The Explorer" so we had a Dora-themed party.

Easter

Easter was low-key at our house. It was the first weekend since early February that we didn't have houseguests. Gabrielle made her debut at church that day and we had an Easter egg hunt at home.

Gabrielle Elise

People have been asking why Gabrielle Elise?

Well Kelli liked the name Gabriel for a boy.
I said, "No way."
She said, "Gabrielle for a girl?"
I said, "Sure."

Not to mention the fact that Gabrielle was really the only girl name we had picked out that Meredith could actually say. Gabrielle means "heroine of God".

We stuggled with the middle name for a while. We even thought about it being Peyton since Gabbi shares birthdays with Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts. However, minutes after Gabrielle was born Kelli said, "God is good! We have another healthy baby." I knew then that Gabrielle's middle name would have to be Elise. Elise means "my God is bountiful".

God is good indeed!

(As a side note, I must tell you all that we will be having another baby. I need to have another boy so I don't have to swim in the Estrogen ocean alone.)
